About Inner Wheel
Welcome to Inner Wheel, an international organization dedicated to empowering women and making a positive difference in communities worldwide. Founded in 1924 by Margarette Golding, Inner Wheel has grown into a global network of women committed to friendship, service, and international understanding.
At Inner Wheel, we believe in the power of women coming together to create meaningful change. Our members, spread across over 100 countries and regions, work tirelessly to address local and global challenges through community service, fundraising activities, and social engagement.
The objects of this service organisation are:

To foster genuine friendship
Clubs meet on a regular basis and provide a full and varied programme in which friendships form and flourish. Visiting other clubs and participating in their activities expands your opportunities to make new friends.

To encourage the ideals of personal service
Inner Wheel clubs are well-known for their community service. Initially, members distributed goods, often homemade, to the poor in their communities. The ethos spread quickly across the country and then internationally.
Inner Wheel has evolved to meet the needs of the country as society has changed. Some members continue to knit, and clubs collect tons of useful goods for the needy, but much of it is now shipped overseas. Members in this country support refuge centers for abused women, homeless hostels, child centers and drop-in centers, school breakfast clubs, and many other causes.
All of this is carried out in the spirit of friendship.

To promote international understanding
International Inner Wheel was founded in 1967, and the clubs have since spread to 104 countries, with over 108,000 members worldwide, 11,000 of whom reside in Great Britain and Ireland.
We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in the world and empower women to embrace who they are, define their future, and change the world.
